Celebrating the magick of the natural realm, Volume IV of The Library of Esoterica, delves into the symbolism, ceremony, and our ritual relationships with the botanical world. A visual journey through our interdependent evolution with nature, Plant Magick celebrates botanicals as creative muse - from ancient Greek sculptures to Renaissance paintings to visionary art inspired by psychoactive plants, cacti, and mushrooms. Since time immemorial, plants have also served as potent symbols within the religions of the world; Buddha attaining enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree, Eve plucking the Apple of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden. From root to vibrant blossom, Plant Magick explores the fertile, interconnected history between plants and people, the multitude of ways in which we embrace plants in spiritual ceremony, as healing medicine, as creative muse and as gateways into deeper explorations of consciousness.
The Library of Esoterica explores how centuries of artists have given form to mysticism, translating the arcane and the obscure into enduring, visionary works of art. Each subject is showcased through both modern and archival imagery culled from private collectors, libraries, and museums around the globe. The result forms an inclusive visual history, a study of our primal pull to dream and nightmare, and the creative ways we strive to connect to the divine.

Cowboys and Astronauts ships from Chicago, IL to all 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico.
We do not ship to P.O. Box addresses, and splitting a single order and shipping to multiple addresses is not an option at this time (though you can simply create a unique order for each delivery address). Additionally, all shipping charges outlined below apply to standard items and merchandise as determined by Cowboys and Astronauts. Overweight items, oversized items, and/or items that require special packaging or handling will be priced separately and communicated to the customer before shipment.

- Expedited Shipping rates are available during checkout and reflect options available at delivery address.
- Cowboys and Astronauts currently does not ship outside the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
When applicable, shipping thresholds apply to merchandise only. Free shipping promotions occur and change on occasion and do not apply to end of season, closeout, and sidewalk sale events and will be reflected in available shipping options at checkout. Taxes and additional shipping and handling (if applicable) and the purchase of gift certificates and gift cards do not count toward the qualifying amount. The total order amount after any discounts are applied must be more than the threshold to qualify. Not valid for cash. Starting April 16, 2024, Free Domestic Ground Shipping within the USA will be available on orders over $100 USD. Some products will be excluded due to size, weight, combined dimension, and/or feasibility. This exclusion will be noted in the individual product description detail. This promotion applies to shipping addresses to the contiguous 48 states and Washington DC.
Cowboys and Astronauts accepts returns on eligible merchandise* assuming product is unopened, unused, and returned with original packaging and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Returns must be initiated within 30 days of purchase date and will be processed as follows:
A full refund matching the original purchase price will be issued within 15 days of purchase
or
A store credit will be issued matching the original purchase price within 30 days of purchase.
Any return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser and, for all items returned, a tracked shipping service must be used to verify delivery.
*All end of season, closeout, or marked down items, whether purchased online or in store, are ineligible for return or exchange and are final sale.
*Additionally, underwear, swimwear, sunglasses, and sexual wellness products are never eligible for returns or exchange.
A seasonal return variance applies to all purchases made between November 24-December 24, 2023. In this case, a full refund matching the original purchase price will be issued within 15 days of purchase, or a store credit will be issued matching the original purchase price if the return merchandise is physically received in our store on or before January 31, 2024.
